Krautrock / Kosmische Musik and related
One of the all-time classic, classic Krautrock albums! The first of two by guitarist Michael Rother (Neu!) & synthesists Hans Joachim Roedelius & Dieter Moebius (Cluster).
Extremely high quality instrumental melodic-yet-proto-industrial texture music for guitar, organ, synthesizer, piano & percussion. Highly, highly, personally recommended; one of my favorites of all time, along with its brother "Deluxe", which I like just a tad more, but in terms of 'hipster factor', I can see that this one has had..
Wolf Dieter Strunz (organ, piano), Jochen Petersen (guitars, alto/tenor saxes, flute, clarinet, vocals), Manfred Schulz (guitar, vocals), Wolfgang Kracht (bass, vocals), Lorenz Köhler (vocals), Bernd Schröder (drums, percussion).
One and done German underground rock band from early 1971, with some jazz/rock band overtones & wonderful electric saxes that will make you smile if you love David Jackson in early VDGG, especially when the Hammond organ kicks in!
