In the early to mid 1980s, Zut Un Feu Rouge were definitely one of Sweden's best avant/progressive/out rock bands, with musical ties to groups like Etron Fou and Debile Menthol; bands that took the some of the energy of rock and new-wave and tied it to 'progressive' forms. A five piece who used reeds, guitar, violin, keyboards, bass and drums, as well as vocals, the band managed to release an EP and an lp on the always interesting Bauta label, both of which are found here, along with some rarities. First time ever on CD. Pretty much essential stuff for fans of early 1980s R.I.O.-styled material.
