Recorded in 1976, this features an amazing band: Charlie Mariano-soprano sax, alto sax, flute, nagasawaram, Zbigniew Seifert-violin, Jan Hammer-pianos and Moog, Jack Bruce-bass, John Marshall-drums and Nippy Noya-percussion. This would have been near the time that Mariano and Marshall would be joining Eberhard Weber to form "Colours". This is this album's debut on CD and it includes a pretty amusing story in the liner notes about what happened to the promotional copies of the lps...
"Hammer recorded this right after his two albums with Jeff Beck and right from the opening track it sounds like he didn't even bother to load his gear into roadcases - he blasts off on Mini-Moog from the get go and the whole set is flying from there. Mariano plays both soprano and alto sax as well as flute trading blow by blow with Hammer and Siefert. Jack tosses is some bluesy bass licks along the way and you've got one intense album."-Ken Golden
