"When Os Mutantes called it a day at the end of the 1970's, guitar player Sergio Dias launched a solo career, in search of new ways and musical directions. Soon he left for the USA where he would live until 1985, playing with musicians such as Gil Evans, John McLaughlin, Jaco Pastorius and many others...Back in Brazil, her formed an all-star band and began playing live, performing the material written during his stay in the USA, and presenting a style that ranged from fusion to jazz/rock...This CD is one of these shows, carefully recorded, mixed and mastered by Sergio himself."
I was not really previously familiar with Sergio, but he is a great player and some of the soloing is really exciting and unexpectedly out at times. All instrumental fusion from guitar, keyboards, sax/flute, bass and drums, recorded live 7/86 and presented in perfect sound.
