First release by an excellent Norwegian quintet. Slighly reminsiscent to me of earlier Gösta Berlings Saga plus more folky things, but really doing their own thing and a fine thing it is.

“These guys didn’t come to play it safe. They’re throwing down everything from violins to flutes, clarinets, harps, you name it, it’s in there, like they raided a medieval orchestra pit. And the whole thing reeks of vintage analog glory. You’ve got influences bouncing off the walls: the big, brooding Scandinavian soundscapes of Änglagård, the cerebral melancholy of Anekdoten, the psychedelic weirdness of Canterbury, with a little French prog flavor for good measure. It’s like someone locked 1970s symphonic prog in a sauna, gave it some LSD, and told it to come out swinging.
It’s like they gathered up every obscure Scandinavian prog wizard from Tusmørke to Jordsjø, locked them in a smoke-filled basement, and told them to create a masterpiece. And guess what? They did.”-Jose Zegarra Holder, Romantic Warriors Prog Documentaries

“‘Turist i eget liv’» is part of the growing list of this year's excellent musical productions from Norway, which, I hope, will make Actionfredag stay with us for a longer time.”-Esensja

“The first album from Actionfredag is an energetic, distinctly Scandinavian record. It combines a lot of threads present in the modern Scandinavian prog scene – jazz flavors, native folk influences, subtle nods to classic prog – into a coherent whole. Score: 83/100”-The Elite Extremophile
