Klaus's seventh album and is yet another great CD from the great man of spacey electronics. This is a classic 70's space work & is a pretty necessary title in any collection. Written as a soundtrack for a porn film, this is 4 long tracks that ooze those classic Berlin space sounds and feature Harald Grosskopf on drums, which is always a good thing on any Klaus album. Highly recommended. This adds an extra track (22:26) not found on the original version, making it a full 75' album!

Klaus's seventh album was an album of music for a porno movie from 1977. This is more music created for the soundtrack which, iirc, was released later, and is yet another great CD from the great man of spacey electronics. “Re-release of the sought-after Klaus Schulze album „Cocooning", previously released as part of the strictly limited and long exhauseted 5CD Boxset „Contemporary Works II" (2002). First track "Easy Listening" is well-difined by the relaxed loops of Tom Dams and the filigree guitar play of Michael "Mickes" Luecker. The mysterious sounding "And She Is Kind And Gently" don't need any rhythm - a dialogue between Klaus and Tobias Becker, whose oboe and English horn is pleasing the ear on almost all Cocooning...

This is a 1994 live performance, which includes a 20'bonus track. [SPV]

Dig It was Klaus' first all-digital album, originally released in 1980, hence the clever/goofy title.
A lot of people were pretty upset to see the analog synths go, and I I don't blame them; I was sorry to see them go too. But if you actually listen to this album, it is completely and utterly within the realm and style of his very best work.
While this has always been a good work by Klaus, this is a very special reissue, as it includes a new interview with Klaus specifically about this album...

Klaus' 19th album, remastered from the original tapes and including a 24' bonus track (Constellation Andromeda). This came out in 1986, which is definitely past his prime-era, but having said that, I remember hearing this not long after it was released...

Klaus' 11th album and one of the very last of the classic period (released in 1979) analog albums by synthesist Klaus Schulze. This one is very richly orchestrated with some wonderful cello work by Wolfgang Tiebold; you might not expect cello to work so well with the electronics, but it most certainly does.
The wild card on Dune is the participation of vocalist Arthur Brown (of The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown fame), which is something that folks either love or hate (I'm actually pretty fond of it)....

"Originally recorded and released in 1983 during the Audentity tour, these legendary concert excerpts, performed with Rainer Bloss on keyboards, comprise perhaps some of the most dramatic and powerful electronic works on record. Digitally recorded in a...

Klaus' 20th album, which was long to begin with, has been expanded to almost 80' with the addition of a bonus track!

"Re-Re-Release of the Klaus Schulze classic "En=Trance" (originally released 1988 / Re-Release 2005 / this edition was completely new remastered 2017 by Tom Dams!"

""En=Trance" is a „pure Schulze" record, I made it all on my own. I have to say I only get other musicians when I notice that the song has something missing. Fot instance if I feel that the song must have a...

A new release by Klaus Schulze with previously unreleased and/or very rare material on the occasion of his 70th birthday!

"CD 1 contains a complete previously unreleased album, recorded by Klaus around year 2006/2007. On CD 2 we find with the 3 tracks "Schrittmacher", "Ion/Andromeda" and "Andromeda-The Grand Trance" titles written by Klaus for keyboard manufacturers and shared in very small amounts (300 pcs.) on music fairs. The theme "Andromeda" was released in a different, tight reduced version..

Originally a double CD released in 1985 and Klaus 41st album, this included his old pal from Ash Ra Tempel, Manuel Gottsching on guitar on the 45' long track "Return Of The Tempel". This includes a bonus live 3rd disc that is almost 55' minutes long an...

Over 25' of bonus material added!
"Album #18 in Klaus Schulze's prolific catalog, Inter*Face was described by many as a mixture between Irrlicht and Dune, both of which are devoid of any sound effects. The album garnered worldwide praise reaching as far as the US, with Synthetic Pleasure raving, 'This is electronic music in its finest form! Sweeping patterns that are alive with a power and pulsating beat that only Klaus Schulze can control. Here is the old Schulze that gave us Body Love, Moondawn and...

"Irrlicht is the solo debut album from Klaus Schulze (originally released in 1972) and is an absolute masterpiece in cosmic, space music. Schulze omitted the use of synthetics for this recording, relying on organ with various electronic effects to produce an absolutely mesmerizing and minimalist body of sounds that transform the listener into a total abstracted world full of mysteries within its almost never-ending spiral. With no electronic pulse and rhythms, just a gloomy and distorted atmosphere this...

DISC 1: The four parts of "Film Musik" contain...

This revisits a very obscure (I didn't even know it existed!) 1994 soundtrack to a French movie of the same title. It includes a bonus track recorded at the same sessions but not used in the film. It also adds a 16 minute track recorded in 2004 for use on a promotional-only CD of which only 300 were made.

Well, so much for thinking that post-70s Klaus isn't very good Klaus. This live album, recorded in 2001 definitely disproves that!

"After performances by Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream, the organizers of the KlangArt Festival invited Klaus Schulze to play in Osnabrück in 2001. The concert from the 9th of June 2001 is also the last time Schulze played in Germany, and was originally released on two separated CD's in 2001."

"It's probably one of the best and coherent live albums that KS ever..

This live album, originally released in 1980 was always one of his harder-to-find releases and it was also the end of the line of his amazing run of analog synthesizer classics. The next one after this was Dig It, his first digital album, which is quite a good work, but also the beginning of the next phase of his sound.

"Klaus Schulze's twelfth solo album was originally released in 1980 and received brilliant reviews such as the following 'There is almost no-one who can hold a candle to him as a...

Mirage was Klaus' 8th album and was recorded in January, 1977 and originally released in April, 1977 on Brain. This is somewhere in the middle of the absolute peak years for Klaus and his now huge bank of equipment. So, it's the top of the top.
This has a good, lengthy interview with Klaus about this album specifically and includes a very rare 20' bonus track, which has only been heard as a very short excerpt on a long-deleted sampler album! Essential to any collection of spacemusic.

One of Klaus's very finest albums ever (and that's really saying something), Moondawn was his the sixth album and was originally released in 1976 on Brain. Klaus plays 'the big Moog', Arp 2600, ARP Odyssey, EMS Synthi A, Farfisa organ and more, with great, sensitive drum accompaniment by Harold Grosskopf. Side long tracks of classic, trance-like mantras, A stone, stoned classic. Highly recommended.

"Megatone is the third studio album by Klaus Schulze's side project, Richard Wahnfried, released in 1984. On this album, Schulze collaborates with Michael Garvens, Axel-Glenn Müller, Ulli Schober, Michael Shrieve and Harald Katzsch. During the eighties, the German synth legend Klaus Schulze pursued his solo adventure, working at the same time for his Wahnfried project. This "Megatone" brings something new to his usual "kosmische musik". A new element appears once again after the classic "Time Actor"...

Since the late seventies Klaus Schulze uses the alter ego Richard Wahnfried. This pseudonym shows his love for the music of classical composer Richard Wagner and also serves as an outlet for Klaus Schulze to work informally and beyond stylistic borders with musicians of other genres. The album “Tonwelle” was released in 1981 as Richard Wahnfried’s second – and it was recorded by a top-class cast. For the first time since having left Ash Ra Tempel, Schulze is working again with Manuel Goettsching whose...

God knows how many albums later, Klaus is still making very good records. Not every one is very good, but this, his latest (as of May, 2018) sure is!

"Following the celebrations of his 70th birthday in August 2017, Klaus Schulze, one of the most important electronic music artists worldwide, has announced the release of his new studio recording Silhouettes for May 2018. The four pieces ´Silhouettes`, ´Der lange Blick zurück`, ´Quae simplex` and ´Châteaux faits des vent`, which he worked on between..

"Originally recorded in 2000 and only available in the rare and long deleted 10 CD boxset Contemporary Works, The Crime Of Suspense is a welcome addition to the Klaus Schulze re-release catalogue. On Good Old 4 On The Floor Schulze delivers a trance track classic with soul, while Overchill is refined by the beautiful voice of Julia Messenger. Two previously unreleased bonus tracks have been added to this definitive version of The Crime Of Suspense."

Hot damn! Not only is this one of Klaus' very best albums (his fifth, from 1975), it's here with an extra disc of unreleased material from the same sessions as the original album!! This was also the record that introduced him to a lot of people when it gained released on Caroline/Virgin. It's a great, flowing, spacey classic with a beautiful cover. Recommended!

Klaus' 84th album (!!), originally available only as part of the Contemporary Works box set, which is now out of print.

“Re-Release of the high acclaimed album "Virtual Outback" (originally released 2000 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted 5-CD-boxset "Contemporary Works II").
Virtual Outback was just one single track: the elegiac 65 minute The Theme: The Rhodes Elegy, one of the most favourite of many Schulze fans.
The bonus track is from a filling work for the Chinese mass rally China Millenium on the occasion of the turn of millennium 200/2001. After Klaus' delivery the chinese government said...

“Complex re-release of the most remarkable and worldwide sought afterSeries "The Dark Side Of The Moog" by German electronic pioneers Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook (aka Peter Kuhlmann), each with 5 CDs, incl. bonus material and new linernotes. The first box contains Vol. 1 to Vol. 4 and the "Best Of"-Album "The Evolution Of The Dark Side Of The Moog".
Their relationship between Klaus and Pete and the exchange of ideas was unorthodox from the beginning of their co-operation, in that they rarely met...

The second in a series of three collecting everything that can be collected by this duo. Here's a brief recap of Namlook, for those not aware of his work (he was very active in the 90s and into the early 00s).

"If most artists in contemporary electronica are like islands unto themselves, turning out tracks in relative anonymity, Pete "Namlook" Kuhlmann was a whole continent. A dizzyingly prolific composer who steadily built up an entire industry around his Frankfurt-based Fax label, Namlook's...

"Complex re-release of the most remarkable and worldwide sought after series "The Dark Side Of The Moog" by German electronic pioneers Klaus Schulze and Pete Namlook (aka Peter Kuhlmann) in three slip lid boxsets, each with 5 CDs, incl. bonus material and new linernotes. The third box contains Vol. 9 to Vol. 11 and two bonus CDs. The relationship between Klaus and Pete and the exchange of ideas was unorthodox from the beginning of their co-operation, in that they rarely met personally...

“Klaus Schulze always consciously looked for artists who were a complementary antipode, who inspired him and enriched his own world of sound.
In Rainer Bloss, whom Klaus got to know by sending him a demo tape, he found a partner who had exactly these requirements.
Rainer Bloss was a trained musician and composer who composed and produced numerous soundtracks for films and music for theater plays. He was also the head of the Rainer Bloss Sextet and a member of the band Wir.
His virtuosity as..

"New release of the remarkable Klaus Schulze & Solar Moon System album "Docking" (long sought after and once released in the strictly limited wooden 10CD boxset "Contemporary Works"), advanced with unpublished material from the original Klaus Schulze/Solar Moon System sessions. This 2CD album became an "Ultimate Docking" definitely. It was a surprise when Klaus Schulze called out of the blue some late night in year Y2K Solar Moon System. A few days later they met Klaus in his infamous recording...

"Klaus Schulze's U.S.O.Privée originally was released 2000 as part of the strictly limited and long exhausted (wooden) boxset Contemporary Works U.S.O. are Razoof Lear aka Uwe Lehr, Klaus Schulze and Olli Finken aka O'Finken: not a permanent group, but a loose studio session turn, comprising of two members of the Cologne DJ/musician-collective 'Solar Moon System' (SMS) and Klaus Schulze. A circle of friends, allowing a look through the keyhole for the listener - to a spontaneous and inspirational...

Well, who would have every thought that an album with a stupid name like this would be any good? I certainly would not have, but happily my curiousity got the better of me and I played it, and this is a surprisingly very fine, very modern, techno...

"Sometimes there's an aggressive dance beat, but then it will fall away into a chasm where the background string synth pad meanders like a broad, hazy river. Odd sounds swoop towards you and then away, moving with stiff fluidity like computer-animated...

“Not quite a normal Schulze-Album. This album is one of Klaus' sideline ideas, a "Wahnfried" release. And certainly not exactly a genuine and typical "Schulze", if such a character does exist at all. In the 90ties there was a new musical dance fashion, called Techno, Trance, Ambient or Chillout, and most of its champions called Klaus and Kraftwerk respectfully the "Fathers of Trance and Techno". Parts of former Schulze discs were being played in dance halls, and Techno producers used Klaus' music for...
