Really a nice set of Zappa tracks from early in this band's history. The largely instrumental cuts that make up the second half have some really hot playing with Frank using some effects on his guitar that I'd never heard before. It's always a great thing to hear new Frank Zappa guitar jams. Although you can hear that this band was just finding themselves....Ruth and George Duke sure play some fast solos,I wonder if you could see their fingers and mallets move ?!
