"The 4th and final album of the Swedish progrock band - digitally remastered! The Swedish symphonic rockband TRIBUTE was founded 1982 by the two musicians/composers Gideon Andersson and Josef (formerly Christer) Rhedin. The band created four albums - "New Views", "Breaking Barriers", "Live" and "Terra Incognita". "New Views" was the first album and was the one that gave the group their breakthrough in Germany and Sweden in the middle of the nineteen eighties. TRIBUTE toured continuously between 1983 and 1986, and established a large following among the symphonic/progressive rock lovers. TRIBUTE'S music is mostly instrumental. It is focused on rhythm, intricate riffs and melodies. In the orchestration there is plenty of classical percussion, such as tubular bells, vibraphone, marimba and timpani. There is also a strong impact from the keyboard section mastered by Josef Rhedin. Another significant aspect of TRIBUTE is that all musicians were multi-instrumentalists, which made a significant impression on their audience. Terra Incognita was the fourth album TRIBUTE made. Released in 1990 it also became their final album. Prior to this CD-production the group had undergone a radical restructuring. Pierre Moerlen, Josef Rhedin and Åke Ziedén had left the band. Those that remained from the earlier incarnation of TRIBUTE were the siblings Gideon, Lena and Nina Andersson, and Dag Westling. In musical terms this album represents a return to a more epic symphonic style, and the individual tracks are characterized by long instrumental passages and orchestration on a grand scale. The overdubs were numerous, including various stringed instruments, vocals, synths, drum sets, orchestral percussion, and many other philharmonic orchestra instruments, played by members of the Norrköping Symphonic Orchestra, with which TRIBUTE had joined forces on several occasions back in the 1980s."
