"Drop dead amazing second album from this Italian symphonic band that dazzled us with their debut six long years ago. There have been some changes to the lineup but it still revolves around keyboardist Michele Mutti and vocalist Michele Giardino. The female vocals that were present on their first are gone but not really missed at all. The music on Neo is just stunning - a wonderful musical pastiche of Le Orme, ELP, Banco Del Muto Socorrso, ao. Mutti serves up phat analog keyboard sounds including Hammond C3, Mini Moog, and Mellotron 400 plus more. Matteo Rigamonti's guitarwork is in evidence but the focus is always on Mutti. Flute, violin and soprano sax appear in the mix but again it's Mutti's show. This one could have easily have been an old Trident Records release given it's mix of complexity and dynamics. My only complaint is from the business side. These guys are stuck on a label that simply overcharges for their product so we are forced to offer this amazing disc at a very high price. Maybe it's not just the band that thinks it's 1974! This will easily be one of my favorite releases for 2007. Highest recommendation."-Ken Golden/Laser's Edge
