Tippett, Keith - Dedicated to You, But You Weren't Listening (24-bit remaster)

SKU 23-ECLEC 2367
Second of the two rare, early, (1971) releases by the Keith Tippett Group, that first brought Keith & his great band (Elton Dean, Nick Evans, Mark Charig) to the attention of the public. By this time, Elton was playing in the Softs and Nick and Mark had joined and left the Softs and were doing other things as well, such as The Brotherhood of Breath, so Keith wasn't able to keep the band together as a full time proposition anymore. Additionally, his original rhythm section of Jeff Clyne and Alan Jackson had left, so he had a number of guests fill in such as Gary Boyle, Neville Whitehead, Roy Babbington, Robert Wyatt, Phil Howard and more. A great album and the fact that he was unable to make more than two albums with Nick, Mark and Elton is one of the great 'what-ifs' of early jazz/rock...sadly.
