''Human voice sounds magic! Strong and primitive. The a tenore singing is a very ancient and my-sterious polyphonic style, of the center of Sardinia, originated in the prehistoric ages by imitating the nature sounds. From two decades Tenores Di Bitti are considered the absolute perfection in this vocal art. They are near to the legend and this is testified by collaborations with Ornette Coleman, Lester Bowie and the admiration of Frank Zappa and Peter Gabriel. Ammentos, recorded in 1986, marks the renaissance of a tenore singing in the island getting their best admirable performance as for intepretative force and vocal cohesion. We now have an excellent example of Sardinian vocal skill. I hope others will enjoy this recording as much as I have - Frank Zappa.'' [Felmay/New Tone]
