This is pretty damn awesome; 4-6 guitars plus drums, this takes its inspiration from the best, early work of Glenn Branca and gives it its own twist. This just churns upwards and upwards, heading towards some sort of heavenly ending/orgasmic finish that never arrives/keeps being *just* out of reach, and therefore churns on further. Phew. I always loved this sound and it is surprising that so few took up the mantle; well, Mr Taylor has and we are all the better for it!
"Letting several guest musicians loose to interpret his compositions and featuring members of action beat, house of john player, hired muscle. Taylor is a man trying to create the darkest sounding guitar music on record. This album, written for 6 guitars and drums and is a discordant nightmare in the vein of Glenn Branca on acid. Its dark and sometimes epic compositions take no prisoners in its mission to melt your mind. Expect a dense wall of noise that will leave you short of breath and wanting more. This is truly a musician and composer showing a mature, tense sound beyond his past experiences."
