"The group was founded in 1990 thanks to the common passion of its members for the progressive rock and psychedelia of the 60s and 70s. Over the years Stranafonia perform live on several occasions, from festivals such as "Emergenza Rock" ('98), then showing up later as a nearly constant presence in the context of the event such as "Scandellara Rock" and the popular festivals in the area.
The quartet's debut recording takes place in 1997 under the auspices of the label Lizard. Two years later the group composed the soundtrack of the play Delete Me (Theatre Event). In 2001, the group is selected by the City of San Lazzaro (BO) to conduct an entire evening in the bill of "From King Crimson to Paolo Conte", a show dedicated to the census of emerging groups in the territory in which they are proposed classics of the group and cover a range of influences from Italian and English.
In 2006 they completed a self-produced CD of new songs titled Acrobatics, whose compositional style denotes a compositional approach to a meter more composite and less anchored to the rock seventies.
Their new album Il Nuovo Rinascimenio is dedicated to the magical atmosphere of the 60's and 70's nod to bands like King Crimson and Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso but always with a personal style / original that is the hallmark of the factory Stranfonia."
