Spettri's first release, Spettri, consisted of previously unreleased recordings from 1972. Now the band is back with a contemporary album.
"1001 years after the first original SPETTRI Album recorded in 1972, nothing has changed!
In the year 2973 Black Widow is proud to present again the original band from Florence well alive and kicking!
Stefano Melani ( Hammond, piano, mellotron and synth )
Raffaele Ponticiello ( Guitars )
Vincenzo Ponticiello (Bass )
Ugo Ponticiello ( Voice )
Mauro Sarti ( Drums and flute, and the founder of Campo di Marte!) use the same original instruments of their 70's recording in full analog domain, in this new epic heavy prog journey with the new addition of Matteo Biancalani on Sax.
Elisa Montaldo from Tempio delle Clessidre ( Voice in Il Delfino Bianco ) and Stefano Corsi from Whisky Trail ( Celtic Harp and Harmonica in L Approdo ) are the guest stars.
The story continues from where it ended. A magic ship will take you through a deep trip in the abyss of our fears to finally dock at a new island of peace. Epic guitars and Hammond still lead the scene while addition of Sax perfectly complements the colors of the music spectrum. The powerful rhythm section speeds the heart beat on evocative vocals.
Elisa and Stefano fulfill the task of letting you rest between battles.
Recorded through a 1976 Neve board onto a 2", 24 track tape recorder, mixed and mastered on original 1970s equipment! No digital at all."
