SIRENA2035
First-time ever on CD for this title, which I used to sell back in my record-store days in the mid/late 1970s and which I remembered as a jazz rock band ala Passport. Well, I was half right. What Snowball was was a supergroup of sorts with Roye Albrighton from Passport after he left them. Roye appears on guitar and vocals and also there is Dave King on bass (Wolfgang Dauner and a top German session guy) and two ex-members of Passport: Curt Cress on drums and Kristian Schulze on keyboards. The end result is that when Roye is singing and featured, it sounds a bit like Nektar and when it's instrumental, it sounds like Passport or like the Kristian Schulze Set. You wouldn't think that this combination would work, but it actually really does on both levels - the progressive rock side and the fusion side.
