OLD-timer Waysiders will remember a drummer/bandleader named Charlie Ringas, who led a pretty good band in the 1980s called Don Valley Parkway. They played a very nice, somewhat Canterbury-styled jazz/rock/progressive sound that was quite attractive. He also led a band called Shuffle Demons that I never heard, but that Hugh Hoppper thought highly enough of to name a song after them (it's on Carousel). Charlie was also friends with Phil Miller and Pip Pyle among others, and had played with them in the 1980s. This is a 1997 release by one of his groups and it's a interesting release of progressive (but NOT prog) music.
