“New Pendragon releases seem few and far between these days, but when they come along, they are always welcome. This mini - album carries on from where 'Love over Fear' finished off. That was one of their most successful CD's in many a year, and I expect North Star to receive similar rave reviews.
Just 4 tracks. The first title track in 3 parts and Fall Away complete a dreamy album full of those trademark Nick Barrett guitar licks that we have come to expect and appreciate. There's nothing hard hitting here as we find Nick in reflective mood both lyrically and musically. The keyboards from Clive Nolan, John Barnfield, and indeed Nick himself are beautiful.
A word too for Karl Groom for the superb mixing and mastering. The sound quality is absolutely fantastic. I'd probably give this 41/2 stars. A full album next time please guys!”
