I'm happy to see this excellent Norwegian band who split the difference musically between RIO-ish, avant-garde rock and a more lyrical, relaxed, Canterbury-style sound reappear with another great release.
Pestrottedans is their sixth in a career that goes back nearly 20 years (their first release - which I remember well hearing and stocking - came out in 2000!) and their first on AltrOck, which seems like a perfect team-up for both parties.
This comes with a booklet of notes from the band where they discuss where the songs came from musically or in terms of how these pieces ended up where they ended. And, of course, Norway's best know export appears on the cover!
All instrumental, this will appeal to a wide range of fans of forward-looking progressive rock. Highly recommended!
