This album is very much a record of the musical experimentation that was going on in the NYC improvising/new music scene in the late 70's-mid 80's. This is two albums on one CD. The first album is George (Curlew) Cartwright-saxes & flute, Michael (Doctor Nerve) Lytle-clarinets, electronics, etc. and David Moss on percussion with various groupings of Tom Cora, Peter Kowald, Bill Laswell, George Lewis, Christian Marclay and John Zorn (as conductor as the band does "Rugby"). The second album is their first release, from 1981, originally released on Cornpride and which features just Lytle, Cartwright and Moss.
