This one was recorded for the Japanese East Wind label on July 19, 1975, by one of the two architects of the sound of Miles' great guitar-oriented band of 1973-1975.
Reggie's only solo release, this features Joe Gardnen (trumpet), John Stubblefield (tenor), Clifford Allen (trombone), Hubert Eaves (Fender Rhodes, clavinet, ARP synth), Michael Henderson and Anthony Jackson (electric bass), Howard King (drums) & M'tume (percussion).
On what what the 1st side of the vinyl lp, the sound is a electric fusion sound with some funk leanings and with room for everyone to stretch out. It's very good, but, honestly, I think the album gets better on side two, when, while there are still the other musicians, Reggie is much more heavily featured as a player, bridging the gap between pretty and pretty damn wild! Wow!
This has been out on CD before, but it was long out of print until now and goes for serious coin! Now, it's a bargain, especially for a legit, Japanese issue!
