One of the very first (maybe *the* first) CD release on the late, great AYAA label was by this mostly instrumental Swiss trio of tenor sax, bass and drums. 15 years later, here they are again with a fine second album, and what I said about their first basically applies to this as well. This has the energy of the old 'downtown NYC' sound and it really sounds like 1988 again at the old Knitting Factory, with someone in the vein of Curlew/Doctor Nerve/The Decoding Society tearing it up on the stage, which is always a good thing, imo. Exciting, electric and very well done - neither the energy or the interest level lets up at all.
