Langlois, Jean - Pieces Pour Piano & La Luna Suite

Jerome Langlois is best known as the co-founder of Maneige. This is new music from him and is 25' of solo piano (nice, but...solo piano, y'know?) and 40' of a small suite for a 10 piece chamber-rock ensemble, which is quietly great.
"La Luna Suite flows seamlessly weaving its way along between solo piano pieces and the melancholic yet fresh epic of chamber music-like tracks emulating sounds of nature. La Luna Suite is the perfect sequel to Jerome Langlois’ most recent studio effort Molignak (2005) and the 2-CD follow-up Langlois Live (FMPM 2006) + Thèmes (reissue of 1982 live solo piano recording), respectively described as: «...clearly this album is one of the most exciting releases of the new millennium. The way Langlois’ music flows out so effortlessly is simply more than amazing, it is unique. » (Review of Molignak by Sean Trane, Progarchives.com) and «Classical music for the 21st Century» (Review of Langlois Live by John Kelman, AllAboutJazz.com). Inspired as much by the classicism and impressionism of Ravel, Debussy or Brahms, as by the more recent music of Zappa, Emerson, or the Keith Jarrett, Jérôme Langlois’ music is always full of emotion and instinct, making his compositions distinctly his. Fans of Langlois’ previous albums will love La Luna Suite."
