Keyboardist Roland Haynes released his first and only album, 2nd Wave, on the Black Jazz label in 1975. Lots of Fender Rhodes is featured on this album (two of them, in fact, one performed by Roland and one by Kirk Lightsey), plus bassist Henry Franklin and drummer Carl Burnett. Some of this is very spacey, reflecting the great sounds you can pull out of a Rhodes, but most of it kicks pretty strong ass in a "Faces In Reflection"-era George Duke kinda way. Quite fine and recommended!
