Jean-Philippe Goude's career is in two parts. In the 1970s, he was known primarily as a keyboardist and he was a member of Richard Pinhas' group and contributed to a few of his later period albums (Iceland, L'Ethique) and he was also a member of Weidorje. He also released a long out of print album called Drones. For the last 15 years or so, he has been working in a chamber music style that owes as much to 'avant progressive' as it does to 'real' chamber music. This is scored for varying instrumentation of string quintet, clarinet, bassoon, piano, and vocals.
