"1. Born in the Fire Secular: The opening track discusses the law, where only the rich have access to justice. Though the choices we make often are built on trust and fair play, as soon as the law gets involved this can become a cold hearted maze of confusion and feelings of vengeance.
2. Someone Shall Rise Sacred: Throughout history, individuals have been inspired by an inner fire to take a moral stand against corrupt power and often suffered terribly for their convictions. Such people often seem to rise out of nowhere in response to a collective longing for change.
3. Monsters Wealth: We are all conditioned to dream of a perfect future: the house, the car, etc. We grow up believing the acquisition of this stuff is to be happy. Yet the only route to real happiness is to be prepared to let it go.
4. 1000 Stars Poverty: The wealth gap is growing. Written during the 2015 UK elections, we watched closely as a parade of politicians unapologetically soiled from their mouths. All the while we were led into a false sense of security, preaching only to the converted and others who thought like us. Almost every line in 1000 Stars quotes something disagreeable said by the party leaders, charmingly transformed into a sexual innuendo.
5. When the World is Full Environment: No one likes change. Though we raise our pitchforks at the unknown, are we often blind to a greater good? At a time when people will risk their lives to escape persecution, we choose to persecute the persecuted?
6. Trophy Consumer: Vanity is the Devil's favourite sin. It leads to all the others: robbery, greed, rape, dishonesty and the love of money. Trophy hunters are serial predators, taking the creativity of others and passing it off as their own.
7. Heavy Hearts Love: When all else is gone there is only love. Love is the glue of the cosmos. Love is what it is to be human, installed in us all as the overriding human instinct. Without love it makes no sense to think that we are anything other than dust."
