Cross, David / David Jackson - Another Day CD

"David Cross was a member of King Crimson during the 1970s and David Jackson was a member of Van der Graaf Generator. This new studio album also features Mick Paul on bass, Craig Blundell on drums and was produced by Jake Jackson. The 12 new tracks on this album showcase the talents of Cross & Jackson and will appeal to the fanbases of both artists and the bands they have been in. It's an innovative meeting of minds."
"So, what have we here?
David Cross from the King Crimson of "Larks Tongues in Aspic", "Starless and Bible Black" and some of "Red"...
David Jackson from Van Der Graaf Generator - with the most fabulous double sax sound... (and sorely missed on the last few VDGG albums)
Put them together and you have (in my opinion) a marriage made in heaven.
Spiralling violin, sax and flute lines over a superb rhythm section (from the David Cross Band)
Bass lines that Nic Potter and John Wetton would not have been ashamed of. [Sadly RIP to both of these bass guitar masters]
Serious drumming that is a bit heavier than Bill Bruford or Guy Evans, but fits in well with this Weapons Grade music.
Van Der Crimson??? King Generator??? Very very good.
My wife, whose favourite album is King Crimson's "Red", said that I if had told her this was the new KC or VDGG album she would have totally believed it.
All the tracks underlaid by some superb and occasionally languid bass lines and crisp, solid inventive drumming."-Mark Shackelford
