Cream were the first band I liked after the Beatles and they still have a place in my heart. They were essentially a blues/rock band, but they were extremely 'progressive' in the literal sense of the word (how could they not be with Jack Bruce, one of the underrecognized great singer/songwriters as a member). Who could have expected that 37 years after they imploded that they would return? And who would have expected that they would still be really good? This has the best of their historic 4-day engagement and includes most of the songs you would want to see them do. They play really well; the main difference between the old days and now, is that don't jam things out for 15 minutes; most of the songs fit comfortably in the 5-8 minute range, which is fine.
