“Cosmic Garden Project is a Music & Art Collective founded in 2019 by Per Svensson (The New Alchemy, The Kingdom of Evol), Dan Söderqvist (Älgarnas Trädgård, Twice a Man) and Pontus Torstensson (Tentakel, The Exorcist GBG). The Green Reverb is their debut album.
The poetic vision behind The Green Reverb is to evoke the spirits of the earth, to fight back environmental destruction, and like shamans communicate with the spirit or the mind of the planet, to heal, to survive... to be in communication with nature and all of it ́s creatures.
Nature, Imagination, Dreams are sources of inspiration in the project. A surreal landscape takes shape. We are traveling, exploring unknown territories. The world we live in have many dimensions apart from the obvious reality. Dreams and imagination create worlds that are sometimes as real. Environmental awareness is in the core of this project. The green force of the world and it´s healing powers was called Viriditas by the twelfth-century visionary Hildegard von Bingen. Viriditas is also the title of a song on Älgarnas Trädgård ́s debut album, the first song that Söderqvist wrote and published in 1972. It seams that life is not a straight line, but a spiral where ideas come back in a slightly different way through time and space.
"Look at the pattern this seashell makes. The dappled whorl, curving inward to infinity. That's the shape of the universe itself. There's a constant pressure, pushing toward pattern. A tendency in matter to evolve into ever more complex forms. It's a kind of pattern gravity, a holy greening power we call viriditas, and it is the driving force in the cosmos. Life, you see."-from Green Mars by Kim Stanley Robinson.”
