''A precious document for those interested in the Sardinian sacred vocal music. The pie-ces, sung by a 4-voices male choir, in local dialect and latin are typical from the Orosei community and part of the repertory of Coro della Confra-ternita di Santa Croce. Mostly the songs are dedicated to Mary, mother of Christ, or to the Saints and are the core part of the ceremonies for the Easter week. The tuning, tempo, harmony, deeply influenced by the Byzantine and Gregorian singing, are the original ones and the performance mantains the tradition of the old ways preserved by the ancient singers.''
