A simultaneously wonderful and exceedingly frustrating release, this collects some of the earliest and quite rare work by Pascal Comelade in his electronic music days, before he bacame the 'master' of toy piano and toy instruments. While it's great to have rare material from albums and EP's like Fluence (1975 - with Richard Pinhas), Sequences Paiennes (1978), Paralelo (1979/80), Ready Made (1981), Sentimentos (1982) and more, this is all excerpts except for Sequences Paiennes (which I believe includes the entire EP), which is especially sad, as the CD is less than 42' long and could have held a lot more music from these releases than what they included. Even more frustratingly, much of this is not taken from master tapes, and very little, if any effort was made to de-click the recordings. Since this was overseen by Pascal himself, this is yet another example where the artist shows himself to be the worst person possible to oversee this sort of a collection. Having said all that, IF you are interested in the French electronic/progressive scene of the mid/late 70's, you probably need this. [Gazul]
