Until now, this has been a very hard album to find and I believe that this is the first legitimate issue on CD! It's also a really good one, featuring the great line up of Ornette, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden and Ed Blackwell; a lineup that definitely did not record enough! One of his least-known gems!

There WAS a previous legitimate release in 2001 on a RCA Victor Gold Series CD from BMG France in a nice digipak (UPC 743218-515927) with great sound that is way out-of-print. This new version adds the original Flying Dutchman logo to the cover, which did not appear on the French reissue. The version here is on BGP (Beat Goes Public) an offshoot of Ace Records U.K., known for their EXCELLENT remastering. Grab it while it's still back in print......JMc

Great album! With these musicians it is to be expected. It has had at least one legitimate reissue on BMG / RCA (gold series) in 2001. Recommended!
