From Basel, Circus were one of the key bands in Swiss progressive rock history. Ideally situated near the French and German borders, Circus had much success in Europe, with three studio albums betweem 1976-1980 This was their third and final studio album. With a dedicated keyboardist, by this time they had developed a bit more towards a more ‘usual’ progressive rock sound, but the intensity of their earlier work is still here.
Note that drummer Fritz Hauser later went on to a very well regarded career in improvised music and jazz. All these guys could definitely play!

"The third studio album by the Swiss legend is a mix of hit songs and intriguing experiments. A beautiful ending to one of the most interesting careers in the history of European progressive rock – for the first time in Europe on CD.
The Swiss CIRCUS, formed in 1972, was one of the most interesting progressive bands to shine in Europe in the second half of the 70s. After recording two studio albums (including the outstanding "Movin' On") and realizing the concert project CIRCUS ALL STARS BAND, the musicians went to the iconic British Trident studio to record their third – and as it turned out – last album in 1980. On "Fearless Tearless and Even Less", the musicians tried to combine classic progressive rock with newer sounds, proposing several shorter, almost hit songs. At the same time, the new line-up of the band (this time with keyboard instruments) allowed the band to explore completely different areas, escaping towards progressive electronics and the avant-garde. The result is a whole that successfully combines the mainstream with the unconventional – and in a brilliant performance.
"Fearless Tearless and Even Less" is being released in Europe for the first time on CD, remastered from the original tapes by Tim Boyce (NYC, USA) and Erman Aydöner (Istanbul, Turkey). The booklet includes a short sketch about the music and unpublished photos."
