This is the Magic Band, sans Don, at the first sessions for Trout Mask, which were recorded at the Woodland Hills house they lived and practiced in, running through their repertoire.
The sound is quite excellent and the music is quadrupally amazing and finally you can HEAR the amazing band and hear exactly how incredible two guitars, bass and drums can be!
I am extremely proud to have personally had a large hand in getting this music on the original box set from which this is taken.
Nicely packaged and annotated, with great photos and John 'Drumbo' French's 'colorful' history of the band. Hear a truly magic band.
