“This is a brilliant way of cheaply buying Dream Letter (live 1968), Live At The Troubadour (live 1969) and Honeyman (live 1973). Each album has a full colour card sleeve and each CD is printed in colours that match each album (i.e. not a cheap dashed off job). The decent booklet is full colour and reproduces notes and photos from each original release. It is a lovely compact way of having those releases.
You get 3 different periods of Tim - the Goodbye and Hello / cusp of Happy Sad era (but he's still improvising live), the Happy Sad / Lorca / Blue Afternoon period (longer songs and more heavily improvised) and finally the Greetings From LA / Sefronia period which is still improvised, but more R & B and harder sounding with a full electric band. Great music throughout and great live recordings!”
