Brainbox were a Dutch psych/hard rock/proto-progressive band that are best known for being the first professional outfit of guitarist Jan Akkerman, who left them in 1969, after recording an album and some singles with them, to found Focus. This is a good, inexpensive compilation of the entire album and (I believe) all of their singles that feature Jan Akkerman. People into the early, heavy British sound (Spooky Tooth, very early Deep Purple, etc.) will enjoy this a lot.
