Soprano saxophone, rightly reputed to be a fickle instrument, was nevertheless a prominent medium for some of the greatest artists in the last decades. Thats why this meeting of three sopranos appears to be a tough challenge. In fact, its a strong denial to those who believe that everything has been said, that musical research is failing. These three players are getting ever more creative in musical vocabulary and syntax. Their music is more breathbased than metrical.
