Beautiful and mature solo album from Iona's guitarist. Subtle but at times intricate Bainbridge's Celtic influenced music will be a field day for fans of Steve Hackett, Gordon Giltrap and even Lorena McKennitt. He mixes up acoustic and electric guitar with keys, cello, percussion and a variety of other instruments creating lush and serene soundscapes interrupted by the ocassional outburst of firepower. Many of his bandmates from Iona appear here and well as Rachel Jones from Karnataka on wordless vocals. Predominantly instrumental, there are some songs with Celtic lyrics. With epics galore as well as shorter interludes I found myself continually impressed.-Ken Golden
