Agora were a somewhat obscure Italian progressive fusion outfit that somehow managed to squeak out two good albums on the Atlantic label in the mid 1970s.
Both albums were excellent quality, Italian jazz rock ala Perigeo, Il Baricentro, Weather Report, etc.
Now, after 40 years, original 70s members Ovidio Urbani (sax), Renato Gasparini (guitars) & Lucio Cesari (bass) are joined by new members Masimo Manzi (drums), Gabriele Possenti (acoustic guitar) and Gianni Pieri (cello) along with special featured guests Patrizio Fariselli (ex Area!) (keyboards) and Marco Agostinelli (flute) on a concert recorded live in Rome on September 20, 2015.
This is really nice, warm, electric jazz; if you like the bands I mentioned earlier, you'll love this one.
