There was an amazingly high number of great albums being released on ECM during the 1970s and this is one of many beautiful, enjoyable classics, albeit a more firey release than normall associated with the label! Recorded in 1974, I believe that this was his first album as a leader. It features pretty stunning contributions from keyboardist Jan Hammer (fresh from destroying the world as a member of The Mahavishnu Orchestra) and drummer Jack DeJohnette. There's some pretty high energy stuff here, including some of Jan's immediately recognizable Moog work, as well as some great, spacey and moody pieces (such as the title track). As I already said, a classic.
