Rudolf Langer (formerly of Tyndall) and Peter Preuss teamed up to create Lapre as a vehicle for their adventures in sonic experimentation. They set about capturing their nocturnal rehearsal room sessions on tape, Langer on synthesizer and Preuß on guitar. With the exception of a solitary single and a few extremely limited cassette runs, Lapre released no further material during their active phase. It was not until 2018 that their works became accessible to a wider audience, when Bureau B released the...

"Electronic music pioneer Dieter Moebius (Cluster, Harmonia) wanted to record an album together with his musical soul-mates, Okko Bekker and Asmus Tietchens, at Conny Plank’s studio in 1976. In the event, Plank himself even participated in the recordings as a musician. Two other musicians also joined the fold: bassist Helmut Hattler and saxophonist Johannes Pappert (both from Kraan) had just finished working on an album and were happy to stay on at the studio. Suddenly, there were six musicians with six...

This reissues the 2nd Limbus album, which was originally released by OHR in 1970. This is very early, very crazy Germanic freakout, freeform madness "Formed in 1968, Limbus were a most unusual band who grew a unique music out of jazz, folk and avant-ga...

"Live from Gevelsberg (Sauerland) played art-rock with flute; without the nerve-wracking breaks often heard in this genre, but rather harmonious. In 1974, they released a 7" single and recorded an LP which, however, didn’t come out at that time. Only...

The sound quality, while NOT professional, is more than decent enough to listen to and this is actually the real deal of early, unknown, pretty out style Krautrock!

“This CD contains all audio recordings of the legendary hippie commune between 1971 and 1974!
LORD'S FAMILY was a rural and music commune that was founded in Nuremberg in 1970 and lived in Beilngries in the Altmühltal from 1971 to 1974 in an old castle called The Schlössl! The group's mystical and ecological self-image, which...

I was pleased to see this reissued for the very first time and also to hear it for the very first time since its original issue on vinyl in 1983.

Rudiger Lorenz was a musician, a collector and also builder of analog synthesizers and also a...

Well...the story below is very interesting, and the music is definitely echo-plexy guitar stuff that is similar to "Inventions For Electric Guitar", but in fairness to Gottsching, so is A.R. & Machines, which started 3-4 years earlier!
So the claim of Manuel stealing all the ideas from M.A.L. seems a bit....unfair. There was experimentation in the air at that time.
Taking this as a record and without the story involved, it's completely a pretty fine, lost Krautrock / Kosmische type thing!...

Note - this is an early German album that has some nice Krautrockian parts, but despite the label's hype that follows, there is also some real pop stuff going on here, so caveat! "First Reissue of amazing German Band who released one totally underrated...

Siegfried Scholz - drums, vocal
Detlef Gherke - piano, organ, synth, vocal

"Magma were a rock duo from Gelsenkirchen. They were playing only on organ and drums like Hardin & York or Hansson & Karlsson.
Their only LP, which turned up very late with collectors, was released in 1975 (Elrec 1026). On this CD you can find five bonus tracks, all of them never released before. The four first ones had been performed live, the last one was recorded at the studio.
Magma, having a lot of gigs

Reissued from the master tapes, stored at Conny Plank’s studio!
“McChurch Soundroom was founded in 1970 in Switzerland and was able to get a record deal with the PILZ label shortly after. Musically the influences range from bands like U.F.O, Black Sabbath, and Jethro Tull. In 1971, the first and only album of the formation, Delusion, was released. Produced by Jürgen Schmeisser and Conny Plank in only two days in the Star-Studios in Hamburg.”

17th ECM album from this German musician who uses instruments from cultures from all over the world in a uniquely personal way. He's one of the earliest artists to record for ECM who is still making records for the label, and he's also one of the most...

"This extraordinary multi-instrumentalist is actually one of the few to have grasped in its essence what was the song of the world. With him there exist.

This first-ever release of any music by this excellent Germany duo consisting of Hammond organ & vocals and drums, percussion and vocals.

The two members, Günther Kühlwein (organ) and Walter Helbig (drums) were long-time band mates in a number...

Very long awaited, first-ever CD release of the third Missus Beastly album. After their great, self-titled, Gorilla-adorned, Germany jazz/rock classic second album, there were a lot of changes in personnel, with more and more overlap with the musicians of Embryo, but the quality of the band and their work remained high.

"Dr. Aftershave and the mixed-pickles” was Missus Beastly’s third album, which once more presented some mostly instrumental, solid jazz rock. It was at the same time the first...

"By 1969 at the latest, Dieter Moebius was synonymous with the avant-garde electronic music scene in Germany. He and Hans-Joachim Roedelius formed Cluster, a seminal electronic/ambient duo, while Moebius was also a member of the so-called...

"On their second album Material, originally released on Sky Records in 1981, Moebius & Plank ventured far, far away from the double coordinates of the Harmonia world and pop music cosmos. Amazingly, they did not find themselves floating in space, but...

This is a really great one, Krautrock fans. Don't miss this, which is somewhat unusual in the oeuvre and one of the late period great ones!

"Dieter Moebius and Conny Plank got to know each other through their work on Cluster's 1971 album and remained close friends until Plank's death in 1987. They made a congenial pair as musicians, as amply demonstrated by their first album as a duo, Rastakraut Pasta, originally released on Sky Records in 1980.

On this album, drums, electric guitars...

"With Asmus Tietchens and Dieter Moebius, two artists counting among the greats of German avant-garde electronic music have come together. Both have been active for well over 30 years: Moebius (since 1970) as a member of Kluster/Cluster and Harmonia...

"Improvisation was and still is the magic word in jazz and live electronica. Transforming spontaneous ideas in real time, listening and reacting immediately to one another -- these are the signs of truly vibrant collaboration. If the musicians can also...

One of the great ones from the Moebius axis.

"When Jon Leidecker phoned in early 2012 with a proposition, it seemed a little too good to be true. Jon, part of a loose-knit west coast collective of sound artists whose work I much admired, wondered if Dieter Moebius and I might be interested in meeting him in a spectacular Montana mountain studio for a week of recording, no strings attached. Moebius, always up for an adventure, didn't need much convincing either. Converging on tiny Whitefish in September of that year, our little group of five...

"Many brightly shining planets orbit the twin central star of Cluster (Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius). To be clear: as soloists Roedelius and Moebius have long since worked with all kinds of musicians whose congenial contributions add even...

"Dieter Moebius -- half of the legendary duo Cluster and the godfather of electronic krautrock -- passed away in the summer of 2015. In 2016, Bureau B begins rereleasing his final four solo albums, starting with his 1999 album Blotch. Moebius's most famous collaboration is, of course, the "long-term project" Cluster with Hans-Joachim Roedelius, which existed from 1969 until 2010 (with some lengthy breaks). The duo existed in changing formations involving such legendary colleagues as Conny Plank, Michael...

"If Dieter Moebius' previous album Kram was an irreverent mélange of bright synthetic textures, 2011's Ding might be considered Moebi's industrial album. There is a cyclical, mechanical feel to many of the pieces here...

"On the second album of his late solo work, 2006's Nurton, krautrock legend Dieter Moebius (1944-2015) searches for flaws and uses them as a creative impulse. As usual, he blithely ignores any mainstream expectations. In science, an experiment is defined as an attempt to methodically gain information by systematically varying parameters. The results then confirm or refute the hypothesis or the model of the experiment. In art, however, confirmation is not of interest. Far more exciting are the flaws. They...

“Memorymetropolis was originally released in 1983. Walter Bachauer has been an active part of Berlin's but all in all Germany's electronic and progressive music scene as long as he lived with his greatest achievements being the Meta Music festivals in Berlin in 1974, 1976, and 1978 while he worked as a line producer at RiasBerlin, the city's biggest radio station. In the early to mid-80s he got back to compose and play music under the pseudonym Clara Mondshine and this is his second out of three albums...

“Clara Mondshine's Visions Of Audio was originally released in 1987. The final instalment of the electronic fusion projects that Walter Bachauer concocted for Klaus Schulze's Innovative Communication label, Visions Of Audio delves further into minimalist musique concrete, extending themes developed on Memorymetropolis (1983) in drawing on non-European vocal chants, here applied in dissociative layers. The diverse, complex arrangements include the symphonic synths of "Promised Land" and the war-mode...

Zappi W Diermaier - drums, keyboards, psalter, voice
Elke Drapatz - drumeffekts
Amaury Cambuzat - guitar
Uwe Bastiansen - guitar
Dirk Desselhaus - guitar, bass guitar

“An amazing release, if you like both Faust Nord and Faust Sud.”

Monobeat Original is the new project by Werner "Zappi" Diermaier, drummer and founding member of the legendary Krautrock band FAUST.
An odyssey of dark-tribal-ritualistic-krautrock with a cinematic bent. From the atavic to the post

“This album is a continuation of Hans-Joachim Roedelius (Cluster, Harmonia) and Christoph H. Muellers collaborative efforts. The pair released their debut album IMAGORI on Groenland Records in 2015. It didnt have such a driving sound, which goes to show how Roedelius, who is now 83 years old, is picking up the pace as he ages. In Christoph M. Mueller, who gained fame through groups like Gotan Project, he has found the perfect partner, one whose musicality is in no way inferior to Roedelius and who...

"Legit vinyl reissue of this 1971 Krautrock album, recorded in Köln and issued on Bacillus at the time. A couple of tracks like the massive 13-minute opening "Dirty Yellow Mist" and "The Executioner" reveal the secrets of early 70s psych/rock as well as anything to be named, w/ monotonous, spacey riffing grinding into the third mind zone. "My Solid Ground's first and only record presented the full atmosphere of psychedelia -- sometimes aggressive, sometimes melancholy. Superb guitars, hypnotical voices....
