“Gäa from the German state of Saarland have become quite known in collectors’ circles thanks to their LP "Auf der Bahn zum Uranus" from 1974.
In early 1975 they recorded three tracks for a unfinished second album. These tracks [over 20’] are simply brilliant and show how mature and inventive the band was at that time. The tracks have been rediscovered only recently and form the heart a

"A candidate for being dubbed 'ambient' before ambient existed. A work of crystal clear simplicity, 'pure' electronic sounds, and beautiful minimalism."-John Bagnall, The Sound Projector

"Mental Experience present a reissue of Galactic Explorers' Epitaph For Venus. Another album from the Pyramid label shrouded in mystery and produced by Toby Robinson in Cologne, circa 1974.
Kosmische and head sounds with plenty of Minimoog, analog synths/keyboards, effects, loops, tape manipulation, treated...

“This is the first official reissue of this extremely rare album, originally released in 1978 on the Brutkasten label. A very varied fusion album, 'Im Tal Der Emmen' blends Embryo and Zappa/Mothers like rock and jazz mixtures, with a rich instrumental palette, full of solos and invention. Mostly it intended to sound like an instrumental Out Of Focus (Freeman Brothers in 'The Crack In The Cosmic Egg'). The album has this charming kraut/fusion style.

“'The Melting Butter Sessions' was originally an Ax Genrich 2019 self-released CD release that now finds its way through the vinyl thanks to Clostridium Records.
The vinyl LP contains 4 (out of 5 on CD) long tracks, 2 on each side of the album. In case the name of Ax Genrich doesn't say nothing to you let's refresh your memory with a piece from Ax's profile in Discogs:
Rock'n'roll guitarist who went all experimental after getting involved in the primordial Krautrock scene, briefly with....

“Presented here, the definitive reissue of a lauded and misunderstood Krautrock album, German Oak's Down in the Bunker. The release has been fetishized and demonized, lauded and misunderstood for nearly four decades. In this definitive reissue of the album, the German Oak trio -- together again after 30 years apart -- have approved the remastering of their 70s music; finally tell the story behind the creation of their dark, brooding album -- and the occult-obsessed record collector behind the original...

A very well known German underground album, which is most famous for the circumstances of its recording in a 'bunker-like' environment. Includes 3 non-lp bonus tracks.

"During the summer of 1972, best remembered for the bloodshed of the Munich...

This was recorded with Vuh leader Florian Fricke & Daniel Fichelscher (Popol Vuh and Amon Duul II), & is much in the style of the great, mid 70's Vuh CDs.

Brand new, ultimate Garden Of Delight reissue of this classic, early German prog album from 1971, originally released on BASF. Pretty much universally agreed upon as a must-own classic!

"Here's a long time krautrock classic. Gila impress us with a dynamic, intense and imaginative communication between spacey rock improvisations, lengthy psych guitar solos accompanied by luminous electric organ chords. "Agression" is a cosmic krautrock jamming, strictly instrumental (as the rest of the album)...

A concert retrospective of their best work, & their final performance together. Heiner & Alfred's music is quite unique & very European. [Victo]

"A long and extraordinarily fruitful partnership started here - continuing through the Sogennantes Linksradikales Blasorchester - where Alfred and Heiner picked up Christoph Anders, the three of whom then went on to co-found Cassiber, with Chris Cutler...

"Gorgeous officially licensed US edition of this amazing mystical cosmic mind journey. Sergius Golowin is a Swiss author. In 1973 he got sucked into R.U. Kaiser's Cosmic Courier vortex and recorded this masterwerke. Over three long tracks Golowin provides spoken voice. The bed of music is provided by the Cosmic Jokers - Jerry Berkers, Klaus Schulze, Jurgen Dollase, Witthuser and Westrup, and Jorg Mierke. A melange of Mellotron, flutes, electric and acoustic guitars, and a variety of percussion.....

One of the progressive hard rock classics of the early 70s German scene, this was the 2nd and final release by this German band, originally released on Brain in 1972. Reissued over 15 years ago for the 1st time, that reissue has been out of print for...

This album has an interesting history and is sort of the band's 1st and 2nd album simultaneously.

Trauma was originally recorded and released in 1970, but the band was unhappy with the work and soon after re-worked and re-recorded the album with English lyrics and a harder 'progressive hard rock' sound with nice organ and guitar work.

This album is best known for the 13' title track, which is a heavy, psychedelic mix of Guru Guru and Deep Purple!

This great, legit reissue...

This title has been out of print forever and we were lucky to find a very small quantity. Please note that these have a tiny 'promotional copy' sticker on the UPC code. Otherwise, new and perfect.

“Music for the silent movie Schloss Vogelöd (The haunted castle) by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau, produced in 1921. Recorded live on October 31st and November 1st 2003 at the Staatstheater Braunschweig, Kleines Haus, Germany.”

More than 1/3rd off the original price, now that this has found a US distributor! If you didn't pick it up before, there's no excuse not to now!

Die Mulde is the most recent release by the legendary guitarist and synthesist, although it isn't...

This is a solo album by Manuel, which was recorded in 1977, but not released until 1991. It's pretty much prime period stuff of spacey guitar and electronics. “For 2019, this is a newly remastered and carefully re-edited version of the legendary 1977 studio recording for RIAS Berlin.”

“... hardly noticed by the mainstream public, some West-Berlin musicians develop a world of sound, which later eventually became labelled as "Electronic Music". These compositions of slowly evolving soundscapes...

This was originally released in 1981, & is a single piece of really trancey, hypnotic electronics with some nice, very subtle changes going on, & Manuel's (Ash Ra Tempel) guitarwork overlaid on it. I know that some folks find it too minimal, but for me, this is one of the great trance Berlin albums of all time. Personally recommended.

"180-gram LP version with embossed chessboard artwork print and printed inner sleeve."

Limited to 3000 sets only. Recorded live in August 2006 at the Metamorphose Open-Air Festival, Japan. Including 16page full-color booklet.

“Composed, performed, and mixed by Manuel Göttsching. Recorded in 1981 and first released in 1984, Manuel Göttsching's masterwork E2-E4 has since become a milestone in electronic music. This 2006 concert marks its first-ever live performance.”

Not quite a decade ago, there was a new set from the newly reformed / revamped Grobschnitt, released as 2008 Live. It was recorded in Bonn and Menden Germany in May 2008 and it was really good (see below).
This newer version takes that live album, adds a bonus track from 2008 and then adds a second disc from the next year, which has a complete live version of Rockpommel's Land as well as many other vintage greats. They still have that sound and fans will be really happy with this one...

Very obscure solo album by the leader of the German jazz/rock band Aera. Never before available on CD, afaict.

"Harald Grosskopf was in his early twenties when LSD 'blew [his] reality away,' as he recalls. Born in Hildesheim in 1949, he had previously drummed in fairly conventional rock bands, most recently for Wallenstein. Their label-boss Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser...

"Harald Grosskopf played drums on the early Klaus Schulze albums and recorded thirteen albums with Ash Ra Tempel. His solo works, 1980's Synthesist and 1986's Oceanheart, are outstanding releases of the German electronic music scene.
Eberhard Kranemann studied music at the Dortmund Conservatory and art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. He co-founded the electronic bands Kraftwerk, NEU!, Pissoff, and released albums under the pseudonym Fritz Müller.

"You don't really need to say much about this man: co-founder of Wallenstein, drummer on at least two of the most wonderful Krautrock albums (namely Mother Universe and Cosmic Century), member of the legendary Kosmische Kuriere, records with Ash Ra Temple and Klaus Schulze. Finally, Harald Grosskopf switched from drums to sequencers and created something breathtaking. I listened to his solo debut Synthesist to death, and few days began without 'So weit, so gut.' It was a record that did everything right...

An excellent sounding period recording from their 10/25/70 performance at the Essen Pop & Blues Festival. This is just after their great 1st album UFO was released, and captures them at an early, heady peak; imagine the furthest out that a power trio could've gone at this time and with the equipment available, and you have Guru Guru as heard here.
This is by the original trio: Ax Genrich, Mani Neumeier and Uli Trepte. Magnificent!

One of the greatest power trios ever, this is the even crazier second release of early 1970's style hard rock/progressive/psychedelic madness by Ax Genrich-guitar/vocals, Uli Trepte-bass/vocals & Mani Neumeier-drums/vocals.
Like your favorite Cream record with it's brain destroyed by LSD. Contains the classic "Bo Diddley". Highly recommended!

“When Guru Guru was founded in 1968 in the year of the student revolt, everyone would have reaped a weary smile that would have predicted that Guru Guru would still exist after 50 years, or have played a decisive role in shaping the music scene during that time.
Today, Guru Guru is one of the longest-serving bands on the planet, along with the Rolling Stones, and Mani Neumeier and his gurus stand for rock music that has survived all trends and fashions and that still goes beyond borders today. That...

Really good (not professional, but genuinely very good) quality live album recorded November 4, 1972. This is recorded just after the band's peak, as Ulli Trepte has left and Bruno Schaab (a fine player) is his replacement here, but the repertoire is still all taken from the 1st 3 albums, with really long versions of Oxymoron, Baby Cake Walk and Ooga Booga. Ax Genrich and Mani Neumeier play great as always. Not as essential as they once were, as this feels a little tentative, but it's still a great...

"Guru Guru played in the Wartburg, a Wiesbaden hall, on September 17th, 1973. It was one of the gigs recorded by Xhol (Caravan) acquaintance Muck Krieger. His recording equipment was then state-of-the-art: an Uher tape recorder CR 124 and two Revox...

This is Uli Trepte and Mani Neumeier, fresh from their years backing Irene Schweizer, making the transition from free jazz to free rock and finding themselves before they dropped the Groove Band part, settled on a guitarist and became Guru Guru.
This is historically fascinating, but please note it is of bootleg sound quality.

"This newly discovered gem documenting the inception of Krautrock finally sees the light of day courtesy of Guru Guru founding member of Mani Neumeier...

“The official reissue of Motohiko Hamase's extremely rare live album Anecdote, recorded in 1987. Anecdote was recorded live June 12th, 1987 at Spiral Garden (Wacoal Art Center) in Aoyama (Tokyo) as part of the Eat Newsic Concert No.3. Motohiko Hamase on electric fretless bass, synthesizers, and computer programming, is accompanied by frequent collaborators Toshio Kaji on acoustic piano and synthesizers, and Yasunori Yamaguchi (of #Notes of Forestry fame) on acoustic percussions.
The three-man band....

After two albums, guitarist Michael Rother left Neu! & joined forces with the electronic duo Cluster (Hans Joachim Roedelius & Didier Moebius). Fantastic, mastertape sourced vinyl edition of this classic, classic, classic Krautrock album.
The 2nd of two by guitarist Michael Rother & synthesists Hans Joachim Roedelius & Dieter Moebius. It includes drummer Mani Neumeier (from Guru Guru) on a bunch of the tracks, & has a more spacey/trippy feel than the first album, & even includes some extremely cool...
