Traffic - Mr. Fantasy
I am indulging myself a little bit here, but what-the-hey; this is probably the only album that I have owned since 8th grade that I have *never* stopped liking, and still like very much to this very day. One of the greatest adventurous psychedelic pop albums of its day (1967), Traffic included the major talents of Steve Winwood-guitars, keyboards, vocals, Dave Mason-guitars, sitars mellotrons, vocals, Chris Wood-saxes flutes, vocals and Jim Capaldi-drums and vocals. This 24 bit remastered version from the original tapes includes both the UK album version (stereo) and the US album version (mono); the US album has some great singles tracks that were not on the UK album, and the entire package was put together by the great Phil Smee, who has found some marvelous photos from 'way back when'. This is the kind of pop album that I just adore and there aren't enough of them in this world, sez I. Conditionally highly recommended.
