The second from this undefinable Japanese trio. The band consists of Miyako Kanazawa-piano and vocals, Yoshiharu Izutsu-guitar and Michiaki Sugenuma-drums. This is mostly instrumental music for the trio of instruments. It's a very full sound; these three have obviously been working together for some time, and a very composed sound, that still allows a lot of freedom to the players. Convuluted lines that rock out! I hear elements of Zeuhl (despite the lack of a bass), Canterbury and definitely avant-progressive ala Tatsuya Yoshida's projects and beyond. It also has that certain "Japanese style sound" to it and a certain small amount of Japanese pop flavor too. Very good and very different. Recommended.
