Marshall Brothers Band - The Marshall Brothers Band

Special price! Now out of print as Radioactive went bust. Last copies ever! Yes, I know it sounds like this should be a country-rock album, but it definitely is not.

"Fascinating album from the Australian classical rock combo The Marshall Brothers, which appeared on the Sydney-based M7 label in 1975. The band, which perversely didn't include a single member bearing the name of Marshall, were clearly influenced by the likes of Rick Wakeman, Genesis and Yes, and actually lived, along with producer Chris Neal, in Sydney's Trafalgar studios for 8 days while the album was being recorded, thus, according to the album's liner notes 'allowing aspects of discussion and discovery seldom, if ever, equalled in an Australian production'. The eponymous album boasts 8 well-crafted self-penned tracks of superior prog rock, well recorded and beautifully delivered."
