The group of Miles, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette is often referred to as the lost quintet, because although they toured on the back of the success of Bitches Brew for 8-9 months, they never recorded any material that came out at the time. But, there were many, many live broadcasts of which this is one. Very high quality recording (for the time period and for the fact that amplified jazz on electric instruments was quite new and no one knew how to deal with it). Recorded October 27, 1969, Teatro Sistina, Rome, Italy.
